Well, It's a rather normal stance to fire a fireball ... Note that the demon doesn't move his arms to fire, unlike some of those "cliche" stances you're refering to :).

Nice execution, though I have to agree that "Fsish" isn't the way to go. If you listen to fire, it groans and screams. They did a nice job of it in "Backdraft" with the sounds of fire.

Wow! I just found this site from an ad, I click on, look kinda interesting, boy was I wrong. This is the best. I am so impressed. Saiyan, you are talented, man. If you don't think about anime, after the manga has gone on for a while, then you are wrong. This manga, is the best I have read in a while. Since you quit your day job and is more dedicated to your work, then two things you need to do. One, work harder and did about getting it publish, I would be the first to buy your manga, even if its the first one page manga. Second, you need to think about animation for the future, this would be a great hit, it would perfectly fine behind DBZ during Toonami. Well, that all I have to say.

Yuyuyama is right about making this into an anime. It would be pretty awesome. I was just thinking that a flamethrower has a steady roar. Want would it sound if it was a mass of hells flame screaming at 70 m.p.h. Also about you deciding to work on this full time and all I want to say is good luck and all your readers appreciate it.

OMG! This is awesome! I just stumbled onto your page by accident. I just love your style. Why not instead of using sound fx for fireball, let the demon say a power word like in a karate kata that represents the fireballs' energy and movement. Just a thought...

Wow, just another perfect page from Chris! There are absolutely no flaws in this one (ok it's a bit cliched but what the hell...). The onomatopoeia sounds pretty fine to me... different fires sound different, and this kind of a rocket fire fits well with FSSSISHHH!
I see the site is growing more and more popular, there are more coments on each new page.

I would have liked it more if the demon didn't fire a blast like that- it is to similiar to goku's kamehameha in DragonballZ. But it's still pretty COOL!

Michel : nope... it's not. First of all, the Kame is a continuous burst of energy, not a fireball (if you're a fan of DBZ, that much is evident !), then there's a specific concentrating part of the stence where both hands are at the right of the character's hip, and, finally, there's the attack name/shouting... Why is it that nobody's complaining when Capcom uses the kame-a-me and call it "Hadoken" (even keeping it's blue look) in Street Fighter but when I make a darn fireball that has nothing of a "kame" I still get the DBZ treatment ? ... But that's okay, I take note that I must absolutely dodge anything that can remotly remember an attack from an existing anime.

hey saiyan, your page was recomended to me by a friend. i am nigerian and i want to commend your work here. its awesome. however i just want to say this why not make the language of the demons a little bit ancient since the setiing is a little bit ancient, you need t distinguish them a little from the humans and also for every special move like the fireball thro, i think it would be better if an incarnating word is used "dunno if my spelling is correct". well its an opinion so let me know what u think, lest from that this is really GOOD. Thumbs up
