Good job! Though, the pose, looks a bit stiff to me. Ask yourself, who is the character you are showing, what should he or she express? I like to imagine a person with a strong character into a given environnment and trying to capture the frame i need. It sometimes works. Observation is the key! Keep it up.

The eyes are too narrow, but the bodywork and expressions I've seen are very well done. Nice detail on the sword as well.
